Book review "My Will" by Stephan Medem: a guide for a self-determined life according to YOUR will
After the two tennis bestsellers "My child WANTS to Wimbledon" and " Playgirl ", our coach Stephan Medem brought his latest work onto the market at the book fair in Frankfurt. The title "My Will" already reveals the core theme of the book. A (learning) book about a self-determined life with step-by-step instructions. A book for everyone who wants to take their life into their own hands. And that is Yes, it's not just important for us tennis players!
After two tennis books, now a life coaching book
decades of coaching experience in tennis have not only convinced and helped numerous children and young people move forward on and off the tennis court. Even off the tennis court, Steph's tennis bestsellers have inspired many tennis kids and tennis parents and are valuable guides.
It's actually logical that Steph is now using his coaching experience from tennis not only in the business environment, but also in general "life coaching". What all areas have in common is the striving for self-determination and personal responsibility .
And that's what Stephan Medem's new book with the somewhat martial title "My Will" is about.
Direct and humorous instructions for a free, independent life
The new book is completely in Steph style. If you're looking for a cuddling course book, you might have a little difficulty with Steph's very direct, no-holds-barred approach. Are you dissatisfied, unhappy with your life, dependent and determined by others? Then there is only one person who can change that: YOU.
The book shows you a kind of roadmap for how everyone can achieve a free, self-determined life: set goals and write them down, and fix and review milestones. Steph's advice: for our journey towards more self-determination. We should not constantly question ourselves, but rather shape our own environment in such a way that it is ideal and conducive to ourselves and to achieving our own goals.
After reading the book you have a timetable, a kind of operating manual - that's very good! The biggest challenge and task then comes: DOING! And if you have difficulties implementing it, there is always the solution to book Steph as a personal coach.
Who is the book suitable for?
Anyone who is a little dissatisfied with their life, who longs for more self-determination and independence, should definitely give this book a read. It's a joy to read. It's written in such a way that it shakes you up and motivates you to get started. It provides a guideline on how you can start your own individual development process and hopefully bring it to a successful end.
In this respect, this process can of course be particularly important and helpful for us tennis players, especially for ambitious (young) tennis players. But this book is also highly recommended for all non-tennis players.
If you are open to new approaches, then read this book. And then we wish you that “YOUR will be done”!
