Today we have something for you! Namely the tennis podcast “Little Tennis” by and with Stephan Simann. Because there are not only great tennis books, but also super exciting, informative and entertaining tennis podcasts. A different format that makes it possible to breathe life into areas of tennis that have sometimes been neglected in reporting and the "literary" world. And Stephan takes care of exactly such an area of tennis, namely amateur tennis, in his podcast “Little Tennis”. You can find out why he started the podcast, how his shows work and who else he really wants to get in front of the microphone in my interview with him.
There are indeed many podcasts about “big” tennis, i.e. podcasts that report on international professional tennis. That's why Stephan Simann created the podcast "Little Tennis". This podcast is intended to tell stories and anecdotes from amateur tennis. LK players of all levels are interviewed in the individual episodes. Of course, the tennis vita of the interviewee is always an integral part of a podcast episode. But we also chat about the club, the structures, what works well and what perhaps doesn't work so well in the club. This area alone is very interesting for anyone who volunteers in the club. Some podcast episodes then have a “special part”. Stephan has already conducted podcasts with stringing experts, fashion labels, trainers or even with me, in which of course he also talks about the particular passion or profession of the interviewee.
Stephan's goal from the start was to have all performance classes as guests on his podcast. He has managed to do this since the first episode from February 2020 to today, with the exception of LK 3. Become like this
It's simply wonderful to see, or rather hear, when someone does something with and out of pure passion. And you really can't deny that with Stephan and his podcast. His podcast was born out of a passion for (amateur) tennis, and the podcast lives from this passion. Without excitement, showmanship and praise: With his reserved way of presenting his podcast guests, Stephan manages to enter into an informative dialogue with them without lapsing into chatter or deviating from the actual topics. His sonorous and very pleasant voice creates a very pleasant "listening atmosphere". The fact that it is dedicated to amateur tennis topics clearly sets it apart from the best-known and, of course, much wider-reaching tennis podcasts. But I am sure that Stephan will gradually gain listeners with his podcast.
My final podcast conclusion is short and sweet: "Little Tennis" - small, but WOW!
If you would like to listen to the podcast with me about a lot of tennis and a little about the TennisTraveller - you're welcome! It was my podcast premiere and I had a lot of fun!
