Travelscouts on Tour: Short visit to the Trans World Hotel Kranichhöhe in Much in the Bergisches Land just outside Cologne
It is always a great pleasure for me to visit the TennisTraveller hotels that have been recommended to us by our TennisTraveller community. So far I have always been able to rely on your recommendations and I am sure that will continue to be the case in the future. This is how our platform works and all tennis travelers benefit from it. During a short visit to the Trans World Hotel Kranichhöhe in Much in the Bergisches Land near Cologne, I was able to experience that our community spirit and your "evaluation criteria" work for a good and beautiful tennis hotel.
Let us take you briefly to the Trans World Hotel Kranichhöhe - a real insider tip for tennis just outside Cologne . TennisTraveller from here shortly . You can be excited!
The tennis holiday insider tip is idyllically located in the Bergisches Land: the Trans World Hotel Kranichhöhe
Coming from Stuttgart, the journey to the very idyllic Bergisches Land was no problem for us. Away from the motorway we went along the Deutsche Alleenstrasse to Much. four-star Trans World Hotel Much is located there on the edge of an industrial area . You don't notice anything of the industrial area here - the hotel is completely on its own and is surrounded on three sides by forest, meadows and pure nature. The reception at the reception was very friendly and we were able to move into our beautiful comfortable room straight away. A bright and cheerful interior and a wonderful welcome with fruit and small treats made the arrival perfect.

Our cozy comfort room
to the hotel manager, Natalie Wisser, on the beautiful hotel terrace and go on a tour of the hotel. By the way, Natalie Wisser is a tennis enthusiast through and through - simply perfect for us TennisTraveller , because the boss here knows what is important to tennis players.
The hotel consists of several buildings: the hotel wing with 107 rooms , the beautiful restaurant "Verde" where breakfast and dinner are served. You can also eat à la carte here at lunchtime or enjoy delicious coffee and cake in the afternoon.

Beautiful three-court tennis hall with tennis packages and a large fitness area - here you can let off steam
Via the inner courtyard you can reach the sports area in just a few steps, where the 3-field tennis hall (with carpet) is located. This is the perfect place to serve. Either individually or with a trainer. You can also book the “Kranichhöher Tennis Days” package here. Unfortunately, the hotel no longer has sand courts. But that's not a problem, because in summer you can use the nearby clay courts of the Mucher Tennis Club.
The spacious and bright gym with strength and cardio equipment is located directly next to the tennis hall. Fitness courses are offered throughout the week in the separate, large fitness room. Both the use of the gym and participation in the fitness courses are free of charge for hotel guests. Here you can really let off steam in sports. Another hotel wing houses various seminar rooms, which are particularly well booked by companies during the week.
Directly connected to the "main house" is the wellness area with a beautiful swimming pool , a lounge area and a sauna wing on the first floor with a Finnish sauna , a bio sauna and a steam bath . Here too there is a relaxation area, a nice little kitchenette and a nice balcony where you can get some fresh air.

After the hotel tour, we treated ourselves to some rest in the wellness area - just the right thing after three great but also strenuous days in Paris at Roland Garros.
We had booked our stay with half board , so we received a warm welcome in the Verde restaurant in the evening. There is always a buffet on Fridays and Saturdays, and a 3-course menu is served on all other days. We were thrilled by a delicious appetizer and salad buffet, as well as the grill buffet, where meat and grilled vegetables were prepared on a large grill on the terrace. The dessert buffet was also varied and delicious, so we enjoyed an all-round successful dinner with very warm and courteous service.
Instead of the cozy hotel bar, we preferred our hotel room with the night session in Roland Garros. Real TennisTraveller !
Morning exercise, delicious breakfast and off to the next tennis event
After a good night's sleep in very comfortable beds, we went jogging . This can be done wonderfully around the hotel: beautiful concrete and field paths, complete peace and a beautiful view. It's just wonderful to walk there - even if the hilly terrain made you sweat a lot early in the morning. Fresh and satisfied, we then headed off for breakfast. There was nothing missing at the breakfast buffet - delicious coffee and warm service from the staff. We also think it's nice that you check out until 12 p.m. - so you can check out without any stress or hassle.
Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye after just one night because we continued on to Troisdorf for the ATP Challenger tournament SATURN OIL Open 2023, in which we were tournament partners.
And I can tell you this much today: at the Trans World Hotel Kranichhöhe this year. We can't tell you more about it today. But very soon we will reveal the secret. And you can really look forward to it!
