Small but powerful - this applies perfectly to the TRIGGIN trigger button . It also suits us TennisTraveller because it is small, can be taken anywhere and anytime and is absolutely easy to use. And now the most important thing: the trigger button can really provide relief from painful tension And unfortunately we have that far too often, right? The trigger button is a kind of “Physio-to-Go” and is therefore worth its weight in gold, and not just when traveling. We took a closer look at the trigger button and the startup behind it, TRIGGin, known from the lion's den, for you. Of course, we also tested the trigger button ourselves and will tell you whether we are now completely relaxed!
And last but not least, we also want to get you to trigger and hopefully "relax" and consisting of two trigger buttons and a roll of tape until November 1st, 2023 So you can test how the little button works for you!

The causes for this often lie in incorrect or excessive stress, as occurs every day at work, in leisure time and in sport. An activity, no matter what it is, is carried out by the muscles. This causes the muscles to tense, which is usually followed by a relaxation phase. However, if this relaxation phase does not occur, blood circulation decreases and the supply of nutrients and oxygen is no longer sufficiently guaranteed.
The result is increased tension points in the muscles, so-called myogelosis or myofascial trigger points. These trigger points are changes in the connective tissue . This causes individual fibers to stick together, which means the natural elasticity of the fabric is lost. This in turn activates the surrounding pain receptors. This has a nasty chain reaction: Pain makes you tend to take protective postures and evasive movements, which in turn lead to muscle shortening and restricted movement, whereupon further incorrect and overloading of the adjacent structures occurs...
In the end, not only is the originally affected structure limited in its function (and painful), but all adjacent muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints are also negatively affected. Since trigger points are one of the most common causes of chronic musculoskeletal pain, it is important to treat them and get rid of them as quickly as possible. However, since the body is not able to release these adhesions on its own, the TRIGGin trigger button is used here.
The TRIGGin trigger button is placed on the pain point using elastic (physiological) tape and is the first tool ever to combine the treatment of trigger points with that of taping. A really helpful “tool” for relieving tension in everyday life!
Maybe you've even heard of it? Since its market launch in December 2021, it has already been presented at a number of trade fairs, such as Therapie Munich/Leipzig/Düsseldorf and Therapro in Stuttgart. The team also appeared with the trigger button in the VOX founders show “The Lions' Den” and was able to successfully land a deal with Ralf Dümmel and Carsten Maschmeyer.
The TRIGGin is super useful for you as TennisTraveller because you can put it on most parts of your body yourself. Simply feel the annoying trigger point (you can feel the muscle hardening) and place the trigger button on it using the tape under tension. Of course, you can also give it to your trusted physiotherapist and combine the application with professional taping. This doesn't make the physiotherapist superfluous, but rather complements their therapy beyond their own practice premises.
Since the small button can be disinfected and reused after use, you can use it for a long time.
So far, you have had to rely on conventional methods for trigger point treatment, which are subject to a period of time specified by the therapist. However, you can wear the TRIGGin for up to 24 hours and continue to train, shower, sleep or work as normal. The pressure exerted on the trigger point is maintained throughout the entire wearing period and can therefore lead to lasting therapeutic success.
The TRIGGin offers an excellent opportunity to trigger on the active muscles without being subject to any restrictions. While an epicondylitis brace for tennis elbow is designed exclusively for this area, the TRIGGin can be used much more widely. Top athletes from a wide variety of areas now also really appreciate this. The small company already has collaborations with the Frankfurt Galaxy (American football), HC Erlangen (handball) and other ski, basketball and boxing clubs have expressed interest. But runners, triathletes and, last but not least, footballers are already integrating the small tool into their everyday training routine.
Here is an example application on the arm. You can find further application examples and tutorials showing various methods for self-application on the TRIGGin website .
“TRIGGin intense”, was released this year . This presses a little deeper into the muscle and is specifically designed for deeper tension, such as in the back. TRIGGin is now tackling a widespread everyday problem. , the product portfolio will be further expanded with a handy but powerful mini massage gun
So we can't wait to see what else is lurking in the young start-up's heads!
The topic of trigger therapy is nothing new for us, that is, my husband and I: both at physio with various pressure devices and at home, we are repeatedly triggered on our backs, shoulders and knees. Nobody had to convince us about the effectiveness of trigger therapy. So we were very excited to see how the little TRIGGin should be used and how the effect compares to what we knew before.
Our impressions after the first applications:
We would like to use the trigger button for all kinds of tension, as it can easily be used over a longer period of time and thus develop its effect in a gentle way. In our opinion, it is ideal for tension. A real helper in times of tension!
