The PMTR tennis facility has a total of 9 outdoor courts, 7 of which are clay courts and 2 artificial turf courts . The PMTR also operates two tennis halls with a total of 7 courts .
The largest river in the Ruhr area, the Ruhr, runs just a few meters from the complex. There are hiking and cycling paths along the Ruhr, which are also often used as running routes by athletes.
Depending on the weather, the facility will be the first outdoor facility in Germany to open at the beginning of March. The environment is perfect for preparing for the outdoor season.
Mülheim and the Ruhr area also offer a varied cultural and natural tourism offering. The cities of Essen, Düsseldorf, Oberhausen and Duisburg can be reached quickly in 30 minutes to play tournaments or explore the Ruhr area in addition to tennis. Düsseldorf Airport can be reached in about 25 minutes by car.
The popular restaurant and snack bar FAIR1-HEiM in the PMTR Tennis Center offers food and drinks with 100% organic quality with its Organic Slow 'n' Soul Food range.
Whether it's home-baked cakes and cookies for a little hunger in between, soups, salads, pasta, etc. or the whole-grain pizza after exercise, it's absolutely unique along the Ruhr in its offerings and the special, pleasant feel-good atmosphere. When the weather is good, you can relax in the small beer garden.
