The first TennisTraveller exclusive camp with real game changers was a complete success - more to come!
At the end of 2023, a very special premiere took place for us: the first TennisTravelle exclusive camp . For me personally, my long-held wish to create a very special camp format came true. And what can I say: it was a simply great event that thrilled the 12 participants from the first to the last day. Together with Markus Gentner , Laura Siegemund's former coach and owner of the 4winners tennis school near Stuttgart, I organized our camp premiere at the Trans World Hotel Kranichhöhe in Much near Cologne. During the four-day short camp, the participants not only got to know numerous game changers on and off the court, but were also able to test the latest tennis rackets in detail Wilson Demo Day You can find out everything that happened during the four days of the exclusive camp in my camp report. So much in advance: the conclusion of the camp participants was extremely enthusiastic . For me it's just great because we've seen that the new camp format is extremely attractive TennisTraveller
Cozy get together - the chemistry is right
On Thursday morning, Markus and I set off towards Cologne, where we arrived at the camp hotel, the Trans World Hotel Kranichhöhe, without any problems. During the course of the afternoon, the camp participants arrived and were able to look forward to our welcome bag in their rooms. about the valuable contents with our exclusive TennisTraveller drinking bottle, test products from Orthomol and the TRIGGin trigger button for tension. And above all: the products could be tested right away in the camp! In the evening we all met for a champagne reception in the brasserie and got to know each other. Very interesting, because even though everyone was different in terms of age and playing ability, they all had in common a love of tennis and a desire for the intensive camp. So the first evening at dinner and then at the bar was very fun and promising.

Great atmosphere with a delicious dinner
The training starts and everyone is highly motivated!
Friday - 9:00 a.m.: the warm-up for the first two training groups started. Everyone was motivated to the core. The current group had 1.5 hours of group training in the morning and one hour in the afternoon. During the camp days we didn't work on technical aspects, but rather on tactical and mental patterns. It's really something new for many camp participants, but can be implemented well and successfully regardless of their skill level. So we sweated, fought and learned new things.
After the training session we met in the meeting room, where Markus gave us a very interesting lecture "Let's talk about tennis" full of mental and tactical tips. How do I win more matches - a question that ran through the entire camp days and was specifically "worked on" on and off the field in the form of exercises and plays. Of course, a very intensive discussion arose during the off-court session, a really great exchange that we repeated on the following training day after the on-court training. And of course Markus was able to share some very interesting things from the professional world and his time Tell Laura Siegemund. And about the fact that the problems faced by professionals are often not very different from the mental and tactical challenges faced by amateurs. Full of new knowledge, the participants recovered and relaxed before we met for dinner in the evening.

The same process was also on the program for the following training day. The training day was supplemented by the Wilson Demo Day with Jonas Wäschle . Jonas had the latest Wilson racquets to test and lots of tips and tricks with him. The rackets were tested diligently and Jonas was asked questions about the material. A great option during training.

.. always in action
Some relaxation, delicious food and then off to the bar for a “tennis chat”. The fact that the local carnival guard then made a rendezvous raised the super good mood even more.
On Sunday, the last day of camp, we trained again in the morning and tried to implement what we had learned into game situations in various exercises. The camp ended at 12 p.m., which we concluded with a short feedback session. The group had really grown together after such a short time - we had a very nice atmosphere during the days.
Just great feedback - that just makes us happy
So that we could find out in detail how our camp participants experienced the camp, they were given an opportunity to give feedback after the camp along with a nice selection of photos. The overall conclusion was extremely positive, which of course made me very happy! A big thank you goes out to Markus, Jonas and the lovely team from the entire Trans World Hotel Kranichhöhe ! Only with good teamwork could the camp become what it was in the end. A camp highlight!
And finally, two original quotes from the participants
