Off to the sun for a tennis holiday at the end of October! Our Aldiana Travelscout winner Paula has been looking forward to this since July. Aldiana Club Djerba Atlantide as part of the METZINGEN OPEN 2024 , the ITF tournament in the $15,000 category in Metzingen, Swabia Together with her tennis friend we went back to the warmth of Djerba. Not only sun and wonderfully pleasant temperatures awaited the two, but also 12 red clay courts, delicious all-inclusive catering and a huge range of sports and relaxation options. The two students were very enthusiastic about the diverse options in the club and spent a tennis vacation at the 1001 Nights , which they will remember for a long time! "A tennis holiday week in which we lacked absolutely nothing! It was simply brilliant: from the delicious breakfast in the morning to the diverse range of activities such as yoga, archery, camel riding and of course tennis! We did a lot and had a lot of fun! And as students we felt right at home among the numerous families. And now our review in order:
The room overall was very pleasant and comfortable. The furnishings are a bit older, but that didn't affect the stay in any way. The cleanliness was excellent and the room and bathroom were thoroughly cleaned upon arrival. The bed was creatively made every day and decorated with fresh flowers, which was always a lovely surprise. In addition, fresh towels and toiletries were provided daily. The bed itself is extremely comfortable and offers good support so you can really get a good rest.
the food was very varied and the selection was really large, so there was something for everyone. There could have been a little more choice for vegetarians, but you still found your way around easily and were full. The breakfast was particularly outstanding - there was freshly prepared food every day, and
something fresh was always cooked in the evening. In addition, there were regular theme evenings where the food was designed to match the theme with great attention to detail, which offered a great variety. There was also another restaurant right on the beach that you could use for lunch. You had the choice between two restaurants, which made for a nice change. The beach restaurant was a bit smaller and the selection was more limited, but you could enjoy your meal directly with a view of the sea - a real highlight! The relaxed atmosphere and the beautiful view made lunch there special and created a pure holiday feeling.
the facility is very nicely designed, even if it is a little older in some places and has some minor flaws in one or two areas. Nevertheless, you immediately felt comfortable and welcome. There was everything you needed: a hairdresser, a doctor on site and even a small shop that was a bit expensive but still
handy if you needed something quickly. The pool was large and there were plenty of loungers, which were still mostly occupied during lunchtime. The loungers themselves weren't the most comfortable, but they were absolutely fine. The path to the beach was pleasant and beautifully laid out, and there too we were well looked after. There were plenty of options to get drinks and snacks, making it easy to spend the day on the beach. Overall, a great facility with everything you need for a relaxing holiday!
The facility offers a great deal for tennis enthusiasts There was always someone willing to play and there were regular tournaments and camps for additional challenges. If you want, you can also book training sessions or simply play for free – according to your own preferences. Tennis rackets, balls and drinks were available on site so you didn't have to worry about anything. The entire team was incredibly friendly and helpful. With a total of 12 courts, there was more than enough space for all players. The courts weren't of top quality, but they were absolutely playable, so you could really enjoy the game of tennis. Overall, a great experience for anyone who enjoys tennis, whether beginner or advanced.
The sports offerings were varied and left nothing to be desired! Every day there was the opportunity to try a new activity - from swimming, yoga and meditation to archery. The staff was always friendly and motivating, which made the various courses particularly enjoyable. Even couple dancing and stretching were on the program, which provided a nice variety. There was also a well-equipped fitness studio on site, which could be used from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. - ideal for anyone who likes to train flexibly. There was also a boccia court, which ensured relaxed and sociable moments. Overall, an excellently organized and varied sports program for every taste!
with the staff - everyone was friendly, attentive and always tried to make the guests' stay as pleasant as possible. Whether at the reception, in the restaurant or at the sports facilities, the entire team was always helpful and open to requests or questions. In addition, almost everyone spoke German. You felt really welcome and well looked after, which made the holiday even more relaxing and enjoyable.
