Tennis vacation on La Gomera? This is all year round here in the southeast of the Canary Islands in the 4-star Hotel Jardín Tecina. Nestled in beautiful gardens, the hotel sits on a 50-meter-high cliff with fantastic views. Tennis is played on five quartz sand courts - with professional tennis training available upon request.  Hotel description

The Hotel Jardín Tecina is located in the southeast of the Spanish Canary Island of La Gomera. Just 10 minutes from Aeropuerto de la Gomera airport you will arrive at the quite large and spacious hotel complex, which is part of the quiet town of Playa Santiago. The hotel is located on a cliff about 50 meters high on the cliffs , so you have a fantastic view of the sea and the surrounding area. Although the 4-star hotel is anything but small, you will have to walk a few long distances, but you will be rewarded with many quiet and beautifully located areas. The 70,000 square meter gardens , which look like a botanical garden, do their best to do this.

The total of 434 rooms in the hotel complex are spread over a total of 37 parts of the building, each of which only consists of two floors. So you never have the impression of living in a “concrete castle”. Everything is spread out nice and “airy”. From the standard double room to the suite, the family room to the "Love Relax" room, everything is there - depending on your taste. The rooms have different levels of renovation, so you should definitely pay attention to this when booking. Overall, the rooms are beautifully and comfortably furnished and have everything you would expect from a four-star hotel. Slightly separate is the Adults-Only Club Laurel, which is specially designed for TennisTraveller and is home to various restaurants and pools in addition to rooms. An elevator takes you from the high-altitude resort directly to the club, which is located directly on the private pebble beach below.

Our tip : the rooms with a sea view in the “first row” are simply amazing.
Here on the terrace you almost have the feeling of floating above the sea.

The hotel has five artificial turf pitches with quartz sand and floodlights . If you want, you can book tennis training at the Sunball tennis school .
Individual and group training as well as special courses for adults and children are offered. Racket rental is also possible, as is stringing your rackets.

Important to know: you can book the hotel and flight through our travel partner. Booking tennis courts or coaching lessons is only on your own directly via the hotel or directly via online court booking .

 More sports offerings

Golf fans will absolutely love the hotel's 18-hole Tecina Golf course . With a view of the Teide and the beautiful sea, teeing off and putting will definitely work twice as well. If you want, you can take golf lessons and improve your handicap. If you prefer to chase a larger ball, you can let off steam on one of the three padel tennis courts or the indoor squash court .

Cyclists get their money's worth here on the island. bikes are available to rent in the hotel (for a fee). Appropriate tours are offered. In the light-flooded fitness center you will find modern cardio equipment and a “strength area”. And if you want to get even fitter, you can take part in the daily “Harmony & Fit” program , which offers a great range of stretching, Pilates, Crossfit, yoga and much more.

 Wellness

Overall, you will find various pools in the hotel complex. The main pool is filled with fresh water and is beautifully located and open to adults and children. In the pool at Club Laurel (from 16 years old), you can expect more peace and quiet and salt water, which is ideal for tension. In the Spa Ahemon , which is only open to adults (from 16 years of age), you can expect the third pool, a beautiful panoramic viewing terrace with Balinese beds and a wellness oasis where you will even find a sauna and a steam bath . The range of massages is varied, as is the range of cosmetics and beauty options at Club Buganvilla .

 Catering

You can enjoy the delicious meal in the main restaurant or one of the specialty restaurants

At Club Laurel you can treat yourself to Italian delicacies in the trattoria. And if you want it to be really romantic, book yourself in for a romantic dinner in the "cave for 2" - an unforgettable cave dinner! And of course you will find typical Spanish cuisine with lots of fresh fish and seafood in the restaurant “Tasca Fandango” and the “Club Laurel”. You can get snacks and cool drinks at one of the bars during the day, usually for a fee.
Note : in all restaurants long trousers are required for dinner, at least for adults. And another little tip: Vegans and vegetarians are in good hands here. The vegan or vegetarian menus are prepared from 100 percent organic products from our own Eco Finco Tecina.

 Vicinity

La Gomera is a well-known hiking area that awaits you with numerous (guided) tours. The island is home to many species of birds, so amateur ornithologists will get their money's worth here. A visit to the Garajonay National Park , which is a UNESCO heritage site, is always worth a visit. Here you can climb many peaks and marvel at the nature. You should definitely see the Los Órganos,
