ROBINSON KYLLINI BEACH, open from May to the end of October, is located on the Western Peloponnese Peninsula in Greece. You can reach the club either from Araxos Airport in about 50 minutes or from Kalamata Airport in about 1 hour and 45 minutes. The club was highly recommended to us by our TennisTraveller Jo - we have also been there ourselves and can therefore share Jo's recommendation - you will find a really great tennis holiday spot at Kyllini Beach with an extremely large and varied range of sports.
Note: the ROBINSON KYLLINI BEACH is open from May 5th, 2023 - October 27th, 2023
The very well-kept 160,000 square meter club complex is located directly on the sea and is really beautifully laid out. Lots of lawns where you can relax on one of the sun loungers. Lots of plants and palm trees, the view of the slightly mountainous hinterland and the Ionian Sea make the holiday feeling perfect!
From single rooms, double rooms and family rooms to suites with sea views - all 307 rooms are bright and distributed across multi-storey buildings in the club complex, with the main building having 4 floors and the secondary buildings having 2 floors.
There are certainly enough tennis courts here: 10 clay courts are waiting for you - two of which you can even play on under floodlights until late at night. Court rental is of course included in the all-inclusive club - you can also borrow HEAD rackets for free.
Anyone who has ever been to a ROBINSON club knows that the range of sports on offer knows no bounds . And the nice thing for all sports enthusiasts: everything is within short distances within the club. A well-equipped fitness studio as well as a huge program of fitness and body & mind courses from "A" for Aqua Fit to "F" for Functional Training, "S" for Stretch & Relax to "Y" for Yoga - here you can train your body strengthen and get going.
Water lovers will find great conditions here in the Western Peloponnese: sailing and windsurfing enthusiasts, whether young or old, will certainly be happy here. Various courses are offered, although these are subject to a fee. Stand-up paddling is also possible for a fee.
The tennis racket can also be exchanged mountain bike, e-bike or racing bike You can book tours at the bike station. Anyone who wants to hit the bull's eye can do so at the archery range under expert guidance. Robin Hood sends greetings! Beach volleyball, beach basketball, table tennis and so on... There are certainly enough sporting opportunities here!
Otherwise there is the animation program known for ROBINSON - discreetly in the background - if you want, you can, but you don't have to. A nightclub awaits all night owls and party animals - there is also a small midnight snack to fortify you. The club facilities are a dream for : if you like and have children who enjoy entertainment, you can have them looked after for almost the entire day, depending on their age.
Swimming courses are even offered.
First of all, there is the wonderful turquoise Ionian Sea right on your doorstep. The sandy beach slopes gently into the water and, with a length of 11km, invites you to take long walks on the beach. Depending on how strong the waves are, the depth of the sandy beach varies and can become quite narrow in stormy seas. If you want something less salty, you can swim in the main pool with a separate baby pool or in the family pool with a water slide . There are plenty of loungers on both the beach and the pools.
If the weather is usually great and you want to head inside towards the wellness area, there is a Finnish sauna, a steam bath and a relaxation area. Various massage and beauty treatments can be booked individually or as 2-3 day programs (for an additional charge)
ROBINSON clubs stand for all-inclusive catering - and at a high level . You can eat and drink here almost all day long - with a few special exceptions, drinks are included in the price. However, there is only one main restaurant and one specialty restaurant (tavern, in the evenings for a fee and advance reservation) by the sea, so if the club is full, the main restaurant can be a little less busy.
What I still remember to this day: eating a nice salad in the tavern at lunchtime and looking out over the green lawn, the beach and the turquoise sea - a wonderful play of colors. You didn't really want to leave there...
The club offers various excursions such as to Olympia (65 km) or other classic excursions to the “highlights of the Peloponnese”. You can also easily explore the ancient surroundings yourself with a rental car, which can be booked and picked up or delivered at the club.
