The Parkhotel Holzner has been enthroned 1,200 meters above Bolzano on the Ritten plateau since 1908 and is now run by the fourth generation of the Holzner family with a lot of passion and foresight. The four-star traditional hotel is located on the southern slope of the Ritten plateau, 30 minutes by car above Bolzano , the state capital of South Tyrol. The view from up here is simply gigantic: both the Dolomites in the distance, the peaks of the Ortler Group and the vineyards and apple orchards in the lowlands will delight your eyes. The hotel is located in an absolutely quiet location in a 10,000 m ² park with shady trees and flowering bushes and flowers. Without forgetting tradition, the hotel concept has been constantly developed in the past. What is important to the owners is a sustainable holiday experience (the hotel has been climate-neutral since 2022), the architectural development of the hotel without losing the historic and, in our opinion, unique character of the hotel and the creation of a relaxed hotel atmosphere , especially for families.

Tennis has a long tradition at the Parkhotel Holzner . The courts were built in 1935 and the first international tennis tournaments were held there in 1936. Tennis on the two sand courts located directly at the hotel is still very popular with hotel guests. No wonder, because the courses are wonderful to pitch from spring to autumn, with a unique mountain panorama. House guests play on the tennis courts for free . You can get training from Martin Tappeiner, who is head coach of the Holzner Tennis Academy . With him you are in the best hands, because Martin knows how to put together the right training package for all TennisTraveller , no matter what level or age, and to impart it with a lot of fun and enthusiasm. Special tennis retreats are offered at certain times of the season.

The Parkhotel Holzner is an ideal starting point for all hiking fans: there are over 300 kilometers of hiking trails on the Ritten, either down into the valley or up to the Rittner Horn. The hikes can also be wonderfully combined with a cable car ride or ride on the Rittner Bahn. An unforgettable adventure, not just for children! The hotel regularly offers guided hikes that you can join and experience a very special mountain adventure. The wonderful surroundings can also be perfectly explored by bike.
