A week of tennis vacation at the Vitality Hotel Punta on the Croatian island of Lošinj is behind us. During the holiday week, Tom completed a 5-day intensive camp at the Ljubicic Tennis Academy , which we accompanied with daily blog posts in our camp diary. So you probably got a good impression of how an intensive camp like this works.
But what shouldn't be missing after your return is a conclusion and an assessment of the camp, the academy and of course the tennis hotel. With this review we are writing the final chapter of the Camp Diaries. The diary is now closed, unforgettable impressions will remain. But it's best to read for yourself!

When we woke up today, the sun was shining after the continuous rain that night. But unfortunately the joy was short-lived, as a thunderstorm fell during the warm-up, so that all the pitches were immediately flooded. The weather forecast for today was clear: rain from morning to night. But as the coaches from the Ljubicic Tennis Academy told us, there is not only a healing but also a microclimate here on the island. "As long as it's windy, it won't rain here," said head coach Luka, and he was right. It wasn't a sunny, warm day, but it stayed dry until the end of training in the afternoon. This meant the kids were able to complete their planned training program outdoors. Consistency was the topic for coach Mario Visek this morning. I had the opportunity to have a hotel talk with Ivanka Ajlec , the general manager of Vitality Hotel Punta , our beautiful camp hotel. Don't jump and move! Two announcements that could be heard again and again intensive camp at the Ljubicic Tennis Academy Coach Darko had recognized two "adjusting screws" in Tom's game. Less "jumping" when hitting and being constantly in motion. We also worked on this today - with success! On Wednesday the Academy only trains in the morning, so today it was over after the morning fitness session and 1.5 hours of tennis. “Recovery” is the order of the day on Wednesday afternoons. So we had time in the afternoon to explore the beautiful island. Among other things, we went to Mali Lošinj , which is exactly on the other side of the island. Day two of the intensive camp at the Ljubicic Tennis Academy in Veli Lošinj. The training plan was the same as the first day. So after a hearty breakfast at 8 a.m. we went to the gym of the Ljubicic Tennis Academy in the Punta Vitality Hotel for a one-hour warm-up with fitness coach Oskar Amančić. All the kids were fully motivated at the start and it stayed that way throughout the day. The second day of training ended at 5:30 p.m. And despite the initial tiredness, Tom is on fire! exactly what happened and what I learned in a detailed conversation with head coach Luka Cvjetković , Jannik Sinner's long-time tour coach, in my second camp diary entry. After we arrived here on the beautiful island of Lošinj last Saturday and were able to enjoy two days of vacation and “settling in” in our camp hotel Punta Vitality Hotel intensive camp at Ljubicic Tennis today at 8 a.m Academy in Veli Lošinj. Excited and full of motivation, we headed towards the fitness room with our tennis gear packed. So much in advance: the first day of camp in the best tennis weather was quite something.
