At the Makarska Open 2023 , THE WTA 125 tournament in Croatia from June 5th - 11th, 2023, the professional women can look forward to a beautiful tournament location. The women's tournament, which will be held on the Croatian island of Brac until 2021, took place for the first time last year in Makarska on one of the most beautiful Croatian coastal stretches . And according to tournament director Feliks Lukas from Lukas Sports , it should stay there in the future. We will briefly introduce you to the tournament and the wonderful holiday options surrounding it. And maybe one or the other of you would like to spend a nice tennis and tournament holiday there at short notice? Or to remember the holiday destination for a later tennis holiday!

After all the interviews with the coaches had been completed, Mia had to decide: which university was the right one for me? Where are the conditions best when it comes to tennis? The crowning finale today is the Parkhotel Pörtschach themed “ Tennis & Culinary in Carinthia” . The traditional hotel, located directly on the lake, impresses with its inimitable combination of classic 60s retro design and modern chic. The kitchen also features a wonderful mix of classic and typical Carinthian dishes and creations. We are particularly pleased that the chef not only answered our questions about slow food and Alpine Adria cuisine, but also gave us one of the most classic Carinthian recipes and how to cook them: the Carinthian Reindling. At Easter we stopped off in Carinthia on the way to Croatia and stayed two nights at the Parkhotel Pörtschach on the beautiful Lake Wörthersee. The traditional hotel, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, is one of THE hotel institutions on Lake Wörthersee. In contrast to many other hotels, the four-star superior hotel has managed to combine the retro flair of the 1960s with very modern elements. Today the hotel offers a very special ambience, which absolutely thrilled us over the two days. Added to this is the unique peninsular location with the large hotel park right on the lake . Open the kitchen door at the tennis hotel Brennseehof in Feld am See in Carinthia! As part of our themed " Tennis & Culinary in Carinthia", the Brennseehof's chef Joshua Mitterer takes us on a short culinary journey and explains to us how the hotel implements the themes of slow food, regionality and sustainability and brings them to your plate for you . Your own permaculture garden plays a big role in this. The chef is only too happy to find culinary inspiration in the Alps-Adriatic region, which will delight TennisTraveller Joshua's recipe is traditional and yet reinterpreted : the very healthy Ritschert , which represents Carinthia like strawberries with cream represent Wimbledon.

When the surprise winner Lukas Klein (SVK) won the 1st Saturn Oil Open from qualifying at the end of May last year, the organizer Marc Raffel, co-tournament director Marc-Kevin Goellner and the organizers of the host TC RW-Troisdorf eV took part Uwe Maaß, Volker de Cloedt and Claus Dreser are already preparing for the second edition of ATP Tennis at Rhein & Sieg . This will now take place again from May 28th to June 4th, 2023 at the beautiful TC RW tennis facility. In addition to the men's competition, there will also be a women's competition for the first time, as a so-called combined event. “Tournaments of this type - including Grand Slams - are particularly interesting for spectators,” says organizer Marc Raffel, “but they also pose an enormous logistical challenge for us organizers.”
As TennisTraveller also taking part in the second edition as a tournament partner , we are really happy about it and have a brilliant travel prize in our luggage.
